Yarn Winding Kit
What is it?
This kit is comprised of both a yarn swift and yarn winder to help those who knit or crochet turn their hanks or skeins of yarn into neat yarn balls, thus preventing the tangling of the hanks over time.

Anyone who’s looking for a solution to turn potentially tangled or knotted hanks of yarn into organized balls of yarn.

- 1 Knit Picks Yarn Ball Winder
- 1 copy of general set-up instructions for both items
How does it work?

What you need
You will need your own yarn to use this kit. Although previous borrowers may leave yarn in the kit, we cannot guarantee how much or quality, so having yarn ready is encouraged. To properly set up the yarn swift, you will need a table or other surface area that has an edge onto which you can clamp the swift. The yarn ball winder will need to be next to the swift as the yarn feeds off of the swift and onto the winder.
The Fine Print
- This kit may be borrowed for one week. One renewal is permitted, provided there are no reserves waiting.
- Borrower must be a MVLC library card holder with an account in good standing.
- Must be picked-up and returned to the Ipswich Public Library Circulation Desk.
- The kit will remain on borrower’s account until a staff member is able to check kit condition.
- Fines may be issued for both missing/damaged kit parts or for the loss/damaging of the whole kit. The total replacement cost for this kit is $106.00.
