Trash Grabber Kit

What is it?

The collapsible “Reacher” trash grabber will help anyone interested in keeping the earth (or the hard-to-reach areas of their houses) clean and tidy. The trash grabber is 32 inches when fully extended and can lift objects up to 5lbs and with a width up to 4.5 inches. The safety vest will help keep community volunteers and others safe and visible while using the grabber to collect trash and other objects outside.

Who is it for?

This kit is primarily for those interested in keeping our earth clean. For indoor uses of the grabber, please keep in mind that this item may have been used to handle trash, and it is recommended that the tips be wiped down before being used to handle non-trash items.

This kit includes:

1 collapsible “Reacher” (by Garbo Grabber) trash grabber (32″ extended/16.5″ folded, lifts objects up to 5lbs)
1 safety vest (high visibility in safety yellow with pockets)
- Kits #1 and #2: size L
- Kit #3: size XL

The items in this kit should be ready to go right out of the container.

What you need

No additional items are needed to use this kit. We ask that the trash grabber and vest be returned as clean as possible.

The Fine Print

This kit may be borrowed for one week. One renewal is permitted, provided there are no reserves waiting.
Borrower must be a MVLC library card holder with an account in good standing.
Must be picked-up and returned to the Ipswich Public Library Circulation Desk.
The kit will remain on borrower’s account until a staff member is able to check kit condition.
Fines may be issued for both missing/damaged kit parts or for the loss/damaging of the whole kit. The total replacement cost for this kit is $30.00.
