What is it?
The Nintendo Switch is a portable unit with a long lasting battery, providing hours of gaming fun in three modes: TV Mode, Tabletop Mode, Handheld Mode. In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system can be taken on the go so players can enjoy a full home console experience anytime, anywhere. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system, with unprecedented new play styles brought to life by the two new Joy-Con controllers. The console has a range of 4.5 to 9+ hours of battery life per charge (vary depending on software usage conditions) and it connects over Wi-Fi for multiplayer gaming. One wireless pro controller has been included to give the option of three players to play at the same time in multiplayer games if you do not have other Switch friends online, such as Mariokart 8 Deluxe and Mario Party Superstars, which are also included in this game kit.

Anyone who is loves to play video games or who wants to learn how to play! The games included can be played both in single-player and multi-player mode, and are both rated “E for Everyone.”

- 1 Joy-Con Grip (to use Joy-Con controllers as one controller when not attached to console)
- 2 Joy-Con straps (for use when not attached to console/multiplayer use)

- 1 Wireless Pro Controller (with 1 USB charging cord)
- 1 microSD card (128GB) (*inserted in console/do NOT remove)

How does it work?
Just turn on the power button and follow the instructions on the screen to get started. A Nintendo account for the library should already be created – “LibSwitch” – and recommended you use this one. What you need
You may need to charge the Nintendo Switch Console battery to use this kit. Although previous borrowers may leave the battery with some charge left, we cannot guarantee how long it will last, so putting time aside before you start your project to charge the battery with the provider charger is encouraged.
Please note that this kit/items within this kit may be used to store and/or transfer your personal data. If you upload, transfer, or log-in to collect your personal data on any such devices in this kit, please remember to delete your data and/or log-out of your accounts before returning items to the library. Library staff will not always be able to check every item to assure personal data has been completely deleted. If you notice personal data stored on any device you borrow, please feel free to either delete the information or contact the staff at the library so we can delete the data upon return.
The Fine Print
- This kit may be borrowed for one week. One renewal is permitted, provided there are no reserves waiting.
- Borrower must be a MVLC library card holder with an account in good standing.
- Must be picked-up and returned to the Ipswich Public Library Circulation Desk.
- The kit will remain on borrower’s account until a staff member is able to check kit condition.
- Fines may be issued for both missing/damaged kit parts or for the loss/damaging of the whole kit. The total replacement cost for this kit is $525.00.
