Mini Portable Scanner Kit
What is it?
The MUNBYN IDS002 Portable Scanner is a “document wand scanner that supports different size photo and document scanning (8.5″ wide and up to 98″ long), in color or black and white, as JPG or PDF. This ultra compact device is 9.5 inches in length and only about 0.44lbs in weight, making it easy to fit this device virtually anywhere (a bag, a purse, even a pocket). You can connect it to any mobile device with built-in WIFI. In addition, the scanner can be also connected to Windows, Mac, Linux via USB for file transmission, (but the OCR software only supports Windows).”

How does it work?
The included instruction packet should tell you all you need to know to get started. For a digital copy of the manual, please click HERE. Please remember to insert the 16GB MicroSD chip into the scanner (gold-side up) or scanner will be unable to start the scanning process.
What you need
You will need to charge this item with the USB to mini-USB cable (included) to use this kit. Although previous borrowers may leave the scanner with some charge left, we cannot guarantee how long it will last, so putting time aside before you start your project to charge this item with the provided charging cord is encouraged. The cord will charge the scanner through a computer USB port or when plugged into an AC power charger with an USB-input.
Please note that this kit/items within this kit may be used to store and/or transfer your personal data. If you upload, transfer, or log-in to collect your personal data on any such devices in this kit, please remember to delete your data and/or log-out of your accounts before returning items to the library. Library staff will not always be able to check every item to assure personal data has been completely deleted. If you notice personal data stored on any device you borrow, please feel free to either delete the information or contact the staff at the library so we can delete the data upon return.
The Fine Print
- This kit may be borrowed for one week. One renewal is permitted, provided there are no reserves waiting.
- Borrower must be a MVLC library card holder with an account in good standing.
- Must be picked-up and returned to the Ipswich Public Library Circulation Desk.
- The kit will remain on borrower’s account until a staff member is able to check kit condition.
- Fines may be issued for both missing/damaged kit parts or for the loss/damaging of the whole kit. The total replacement cost for this kit is $152.00.
