Induction Cooktop Kit
What is it?
The Max Burton 6450 Digital Induction Cooktop is “portable, easy to use, and energy efficient! With induction cooking, your cookware is heated by a magnetic field inside of the cooktop. Therefore the cooktop will self-adjust to the size of the cookware being used, and you are not heating the air around you. There is no open flame or exposed heating element to burn people or surrounding items, making this ideal for young and old. It is lightweight (6 lbs), plugs into any standard household outlet, and has an easy to use LCD touch screen.” Add in a 8.5 inch skillet, a stainless steel saucepan, an oven safe meat thermometer, instructions, and a canvas tote bag to carry it all, and you’ve got a tiny kitchen on-the-go.

- 1 Escali oven/dishwasher safe meat thermometer (in plastic bag)
- 1 Lio Shaar stainless steel saucepan (with tempered glass lid & 1 user manual booklet)
- 1 PranzoElite skillet (8.5 inches)
- 1 canvas tote bag (for all components)
- 1 quick kit introduction guide (2 paper trifolds in front pocket)

What you need
You will need to power the induction cooktop with the AC power cord (built into unit) to use this kit. We ask that the cooking tools be returned as clean as possible (following cleaning instructions within manuals) and all used items are returned without any liquids or food remains inside. You may also need a oven mitt or cooking towel to use the skillet and saucepan as they have metal handles and may become hot when used on the cooktop.
The Fine Print
- This kit may be borrowed for one week. One renewal is permitted, provided there are no reserves waiting.
- Borrower must be a MVLC library card holder with an account in good standing.
- Must be picked-up and returned to the Ipswich Public Library Circulation Desk.
- The kit will remain on borrower’s account until a staff member is able to check kit condition.
- Fines may be issued for both missing/damaged kit parts or for the loss/damaging of the whole kit. The total replacement cost for this kit is $156.00.
