Binoculars Kit
What is it?
The Falcon series binoculars offer powerful magnification. Versatile, and ideal for stadium sports, bird-watching, hunting, and many other outdoor applications, the 10×50 model boasts a durable design and rubberized, abrasion-resistant finish. All three books that accompany the binoculars will help beginner bird watchers and star gazers learn the tricks of navigating the skies and what to look out for in their search.
Please do not look directly at the sun using binoculars.

This kit includes:

- 1 copy of Astronomy for Kids by Bruce Betts (2018)
- 1 copy of The Bird Watching Answer Book by Laura Erickson (2009)
- 1 copy of The Sibley Field guide to Birds of Eastern North America, 2nd ed. by David Allen Sibley (2016)
How does it work?

What you need
No batteries needed. For stargazing, you’ll need a clear night, preferably in a rural area with little light pollution. For bird watching, you’ll need a clear day and lots of patience.
The Fine Print
- This kit may be borrowed for one week. One renewal is permitted, provided there are no reserves waiting.
- Borrower must be a MVLC library card holder with an account in good standing.
- Must be picked-up and returned to the Ipswich Public Library Circulation Desk.
- The kit will remain on borrower’s account until a staff member is able to check kit condition.
- Fines may be issued for both missing/damaged kit parts or for the loss/damaging of the whole kit. The total replacement cost for this kit is $95.00.
