Ipswich Public Library  Children’s Room April School Vacation 2024

 STEM Building  – Drop in to build with blocks, KINEX, marble race courses, Lincoln Logs, LEGOS and other building materials (some retro).  Play Giant Jenga or Giant Connects!  No registration required.

Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to noon

Movie Screening of Illumination Presents Migration in the Collins Room with a great projection and sound system.   Popcorn and bottled water provided.  One per guest. Rated PG.

Drop-In Craft to create Peeps Diorama.  Drop-In Craft projects are intended for school-age children as they are more intricate and challenging crafts. Each child under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver to actively assist with the craft.   Peeps, shoeboxes and crafty options for decoration will be provided.

Peeps Diorama Contest Library-Wide!

Join us in creating and celebrating fun-themed peep dioramas library-wide in an event that runs through April 19.

Starting on April 1st, packages of peeps, peep “props” bags, shoe boxes, and the rules/submission sheets will be available for pick up at the main circulation desk. Patrons may pick up all of the offered elements, or just some, while supplies last. Please keep in mind that we can only give one package of peeps out per person/team.

This year we will be judging submissions in three categories: adult, teen (6th-12th graders), and families.he Peeps Diorama Contest will be held library-wide.

Ipswich Train Café  An event tailored towards those on the autism spectrum and their families, it will provide an open and welcoming space with toy trains to play with, arts and crafts and information from train-related organizations throughout New England.  A sensory-friendly event, there will be a quieter space for those who need it.

The main event will be held at Ascension Memorial Church Boone Hall and Quiet Space will be available at Ipswich Public Library (meeting room across from children’s room, just steps away from the Church!)  Event funding provided by Awesome Ipswich.  Coffee by Zumi’s..

Admission is free, but please RSVP so we can prepare accordingly.
