SUPPORT

Friends of the Library

Mission Statement

The Friends of the Ipswich Public Library is an organization dedicated to the enhancement of our Library. The Friends of the Library is governed by a board which meets monthly and has one annual meeting open to all its members.

Our non-profit organization raises funds - through dues collection and book sales - which are allocated to provide extras that fall outside the regular budget of the Library such as:

  • Children's programs
  • Museum passes and booking system
  • Books on CD
  • DVDs
  • Amenities within the library
  • Book binding
  • Maintenance of the Children’s Room freshwater aquarium

The Friends sponsor a monthly lecture or presentation which is free and open to the public. In addition, we also provide one scholarship each year to a college-bound graduate of the Ipswich High School.

    HOW YOU CAN HELP

An easy way to help is to donate your gently used books, the Friends of the Ipswich Library are always in need of donations for the book sales.
