A set of 128 cassette tapes recorded by local residents in the 1970’s on various aspects of Ipswich history. Subjects include Castle Hill, lace making, boat building, Polish family life, clamming, geological origins, witchcraft and various reminiscences by residents such as John Updike and Kitty Robertson. (For use in the Archives only. A cassette recorder will be provided.)
